Backround and goals

Throughout my life I have been involved in the arts from a very early age. As a kid I would sing and play instruments at my families church leading me into picking up a guitar in my teenage years. As I started adolescence I would go on to perform and write music in multiple punk, metal and alternative bands throughout high school. During this time I would come to find and fall in love with theatre. Since 2015 in my sophomore year of high school I have been involved in what would become theatres, arenas, stadiums conference rooms, studios and old Churches across North America. All of these Experiences made me realize how much work goes into every form of art and the importance of community at every level in the process. Growing up working class and making art I always had to rely on a “real” job to pay the bills. Throughout high school and college theatre and stagehand gigs were unsteady or transportation was unreliable but I was going to school first for music business later switching to entertainment technology and focusing on theatre at Millersville University until the pandemic hit in 2020. These programs and projects taught me that anyone no matter what their background, education, or ability level could appreciate art in its many forms. I believe that the arts and humanities are often inaccessible to people. My goal is to change that by offering classes to teach people how to make music, photography, and art with the opportunity to try out these art at beginner levels and giving those who already create support through community, resources, and equitable distribution of their art. I believe the future of art is made by the people and for the people through our communities coming together to support them.
